Lake Turkana. Flamingos are a common sight at Ferguson Gulf on the lake’s western shore, but they rarely congregate in such numbers. Local fisherman once netted the bulk of their catch here, but the water level has dropped drastically, leaving many of the gulf’s channels dry.
