Damaraland, Namibia The Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain at 8,442 ft / 2,573 m, can be seen from many miles away across the flat Namib gravel plains. The Herero name for the mountain, Omukuruvaro, means “Mountain of the Gods.”
