Flock of Arctic Terns
A flock of arctic terns (Sterna paradisaea) against an Antarctic glacier. This species com- pletes the longest annual migration on earth, flying from the Arctic to the Antarctic and back within 12 months, covering a distance of about 33,000 km (20,500 miles).
